Having made informed choices, this is an exciting year for our students. For the first time in your education you set about studying subjects and vocational courses which will lead to qualifications and hopefully further your future careers.

All students will study the following:

  • English Language and Literature

  • Mathematics

  • Science (Trilogy or Triple)

  • Citizenship

  • Religious Studies

  • Core PE

Students are expected to choose at least one of a Humanities (History or Geography) or Language (French, German or Spanish) as one of their option choices.

The additional option subjects offered are:

  • Art

  • Business Studies

  • Drama

  • Food and Nutrition

  • Health and Social Care (BTec)

  • ICT (BTec)

  • Media Studies

  • Music

  • Music Technology (BTec)

  • PE GCSE

  • Product Design

  • Textiles

  • Support (Learning Support/Hearing Support/EAL Support)

Homework

All homework is now set via the Show My Homework link (Please see below). You can view the homework set by using the filters after clicking on the Green “Homework Calendar” button.

In Year 10, English, Maths, Science and Option Subjects all receive a minimum of one homework a week.
