Welcome to Citizenship,

Home of Citizenship, Government and Politics, and Law

Intent

For students to develop an understanding and appreciation for the wider world, and their position with it. This includes improving their understanding of:-

-          The communities within which they reside;

-          the political system they live under;

-          the rules, rights and responsibilities that shape their daily lives;

-          the actions they can take to improve society and make a difference, and

-          the skills needed to think critically and debate political questions, to enable them to manage their money on a day-to-day basis, and plan for future financial needs.

Ultimately, Citizenship helps to provide our students with the knowledge, skills and understanding to inspire them to play a full and active part in their society and have success in their role as citizens.
